Welcome to this edition of “Color Me Happy – How to Create Your Home’s Perfect Color Palette!”
If you didn’t read the previous edition (blue Southern cottage edition), click here to check out the super fun & funky color palette that I created.
The palette I selected was definitely a departure from my usual decorating color aesthetic which made it SO much fun to just let go and be totally creative.
I GOT MYKONOS ON MY MIND …
This edition’s color palette is a bit more subdued but still quite interesting and relaxing (both elements are always very important to me whenever I’m designing a space for someone).
I had the gorgeous island of Mykonos, Greece on the brain for whatever reason. Probably because I know I’ll never visit such an amazing place due to my crippling fear of flying on planes. Yeah, I’m one of those people.
I decided not to use one of the typical, brightly-colored images of Mykonos and searched for an image that was more on the neutral side and came across the beautiful image above.
When I first saw this stunningly beautiful photo on TheSweetestWay.com, I immediately felt a sense of peace and serenity come over me and I knew it would be the perfect image to use for this post!

Just remember this: Decorating is and should be fun – it shouldn’t stress you out. If it does, somethin’ ain’t right …
