Since we’re not going to have a tub in the prima

Since we’re not going to have a tub in the primary bath of our future #newoldhouse (we NEVER use the tub in our current primary bath and would much rather have a fabulous shower and more space), that leaves us with having a tub in the #guestbathroom so we’ll be covered for future resale.

And even though we won’t be using the tub in the guest bath (and most likely, our future guests won’t use it either), I want to make that bathroom very user-friendly while also being a show-stopper.

😆 I'm SUPER excited over here because I recently started a project for some new clients and giving their dated kitchen and great room a refresh is high on the list.

They have a great nook in the kitchen that currently has their dining table and chairs and I'm planning on turning that into an awesome banquette area. It gets the most beautiful natural light and it overlooks their pool area.

On the blog (link in bio ⬆), I'm sharing #frontdoor inspo for our future new-old cottage that's currently a super boring 😴 1970s #fixerupper.

I want our guests and visitors to instantly feel welcomed and cozy and there's no better place to start than with a charming front door!

I also want our future new-old cottage to feel as if it was built in the 1920s to fit in with the town's historical homes.

🏡 Turning our 70s fixer-upper into a #newoldhou

🏡 Turning our 70s fixer-upper into a #newoldhouse is going to be a HUGE undertaking but I'm up for the challenge! 💪🏼

The current house is tiny and is basically a blank slate because there is NOTHING with any kind of character worth saving, and the interior walls aren't load-bearing.

We bought this #cottage last October because the lot that it's on is absolutely gorgeous and we knew we could turn the house into whatever we wanted (we're not new to renovations over here so we're not scared! 😀).

This cottage is in a town full of historic homes built in the late 1800s/early 1900s and my goal is to make it look like it was built in the 1920s.

On the blog, I share details of some of my ideas for the exterior elevations starting with two of my biggest inspiration sources:

In addition to interior design, I've been a professional portrait photographer 📸 since 2016 and I've been in a lot of clients' homes to personally install their custom artwork.

One of the things I'd notice is that they were hanging their own artwork WAY too high which is a pretty common mistake, actually. 😲

I noticed in a recent #rocktheblock episode (the F.R.O.G. challenge) on #hgtv, one of the teams hung their artwork WAY too high and I'll be honest - it made me cringe a bit. 🤭😬 I guess the height would be okay if a professional basketball player ends up buying their house. 🤣
