Now that summer is quickly approaching, I know that many of you are probably looking for ways to freshen up your front porches or amp up your home’s curb appeal.
Sprucing up either (or both) of these areas is especially important if you’re going to be putting your home on the market soon. Millennials are dominating the real estate market right now and two of their top “must have” items on their home-buying wish lists are outdoor living spaces and curb appeal.
So with this in mind, I came across the adorable front porch in the photo above on HGTV.com and thought it would be fun to design a similar look to fit a budget of $500.
1. Address Plaque $49 | 2. Barn Light Sconce $40| 3. Gold Spray Paint $7 | 4. Mailbox $29
5. Throw Pillow $37 | 6. Seat Cushion $50 | 7. Door Paint $28 | 8. Handleset $80
9. Faux Topiaries $20-$25 | 10. Rocking Chair $94 | Doormat $20 | Side Table $60
Total – $514 (ok, so I went just a tad over …)
I hope this post inspired you to zhoosh the outside of your home. It can really be such a fun little weekend project for your whole family as well.
Thank you so much for following my blog and for letting me help you create your own lived-in, loved-in spaces!
