14 Stunning Chandeliers & Pendants for Low Ceilings

Pin me for later!

If you read last week’s post about beautiful bedroom benches under $700, you know that I’ve been working on a client’s bedroom refresh project for a few weeks now.

The next big item on her wish list was a pretty and modern ceiling light fixture. She loves this look from Amber Lewis, but that kind of lighting is difficult to pull off with an 8′ ceiling. Not to mention, a chandelier like that would have wiped out her entire budget (they’re expensive as hell!).

The next challenge was the fact that my client has very eclectic taste and that can make it tricky to narrow down the look of a certain design element to just one style.

Her favorite home decor/furniture stores are Room & Board, CB2, West Elm, Restoration Hardware, & Serena & Lily. That’s definitely an eclectic collection right there!

So instead of trying to pick out THE perfect chandelier for her bedroom, I presented her with 3 style options: coastal & glam-coastal (both Serena & Lily inspo), and Mid-Century modern (West Elm & CB2 inspo) and she loved them all.

At the end of this post, I’ll tell you which light fixture she ultimately chose because I’m sure you’re just itchin’ to find out!

Come check out these gorgeous chandeliers & pendants that will work with 8′ ceilings. These fixtures are either flush-mounted or they allow the overall heights to be adjusted.

Drop me a comment below and let me know which one is YOUR fave!

So the light fixture my client chose is … (DRUMROLL, PLEASE) – the Crate&Kids Sputnik Chandelier!

She chose this fixture because it has a similar “flavor” as the super cool linear mobile chandelier she loves in this bedroom designed by the amazing Amber Lewis.

HOT TIP: Don’t be afraid to shop at childrens’ decor sources because they do have sophisticated items that are smaller in scale and typically less expensive than their “adult” counterparts.
