I've been working on the layout of our future kitchen for our "new-old" #cottage and came across a little nook just begging for something special.

I showed my proposed floor plan to The Hubs and he immediately suggested creating a little built-in bar in that space and so I'm running with it! 🏃🏼‍♀🏃🏼‍♀

I've been working on the layout of our future kitchen for our "new-old" #cottage and I'm starting with the stove area.

The current house was built in 1971 and lacks any character, but that's ok because it's a blank slate! 🥳

Personally, I'm not into big, statement #rangehoods - I prefer the focus to be on either the stove, backsplash tile, or both! 🤩

I also want to infuse the quirky character of English kitchens which typically incorporate full or partial stove alcoves.

MY NEW HAPPY PLACE. 😍

We went up to our little #fixerupper #cottage in #centralflorida a couple of weekends ago to meet with our contractor and his draftsman.

I was having a tough time over the loss of our sweet little Maggie Moo who passed away on July 5th and boy, did this backyard help soothe my heavy heart.

Our cottage backs up to a "dry" pond (it fills up with super heavy storms or hurricanes) and so it looks like we own a lot more property than we actually do.

It's a disaster area now but I sure do see the potential for this little slice of heaven.

Just listen to the sounds of nature from that morning - AHHHHH. Peace! 🥰

My little ray of sunshine crossed the Rainbow Brid

My little ray of sunshine crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 7:50 pm tonight in the comfort of her favorite place in the world - home.

Maggie Moo was between 14-16 years old and the light of my life. She was a special needs rescue and I’m so grateful to her human angel who saved her one hour before being euthanized 9 years ago and trusted us to give her the beautiful life she deserved.

I’m too broken up to write anything more right now. I’m devastated but very grateful a very compassionate vet came to our house and everything was so peaceful and meant to be - on her terms.

Anyone that met Moo Face loved her and this is how I want to remember her - nothing but pure joy in that smile. 🙂

Hug your pets a little tighter tonight - time is a bitch and goes by in a flash. ❤️

Powder baths are so much fun to design! 😆

Even though they're typically pretty tiny, you can still pack a lot of personality punch in them without spending a ton of money. 👊🏼

Here's a #powderbath I recently designed for my awesome clients. The unique @serenaandlily wallpaper was installed a couple of weeks ago, the @shadesoflight vanity light will be installed in July, and then I'm having a custom white bamboo mirror made at @calusagallery for the tiny space above the sink (it's only 18" wide! 😲).

Since we’re not going to have a tub in the prima

Since we’re not going to have a tub in the primary bath of our future #newoldhouse (we NEVER use the tub in our current primary bath and would much rather have a fabulous shower and more space), that leaves us with having a tub in the #guestbathroom so we’ll be covered for future resale.

And even though we won’t be using the tub in the guest bath (and most likely, our future guests won’t use it either), I want to make that bathroom very user-friendly while also being a show-stopper.
